Accomplishments: Odysseus made many small victories on his journey. One of which was being released from Calypso's Island by Hermes on the order from Zeus. The cyclops could of killed Odysseus in a second but , Odysseus thought long and hard to find a way to defeat the cyclops and remove the huge stone blocking the exit.
Sacrifices: Odysseus made many sacrifices until coming home to Penelope on Ithaca. Most importantly he sacrificed seeing his son grow up into a man and being with his loving wife Penelope. He also sacrificed his mens lives when they were eaten by Scylla, killed by Zeus after eating the sacred cows, killed by the sirens, and killed by the cyclops.
