Riordan Manufacturing "would like to take advantage of a more sophisticated Ñinformation systems technology" (University of Phoenix, n.d.), centralize database, full access Ñavailability from all locations through web page. Ñ
Expected Results Ñ
The expected results of the project of HR integration system are managing Human ÑResources activities; the new system will be used to track the following information: Ñ
* Personal information (such as name, address, marital status, birth date, etc.)Ñ
* Pay rate
* Personal exemptions for tax purposes
* Hire date
* Seniority date (which is sometimes different than the hire date)Ñ
* Organizational information (department for budget purposes, manager's name, etc.)Ñ

Description of current environment
HR data of Riordan Manufacturing is fragmented into different systems, manual system Ñor managed by third-party provider. The main current part of HR system is a part of financial Ñsystem and not covers all human resources department activities.Ñ

The implementation time of the project will be six months starting on April 2, 2007 to ÑOctober 24, 2007.Ñ

The project plan of HR integration system is consist of nine stages which include:Ñ
Stage 1: kickoff meeting Ñ
The duration of this stage is 10 days, it includes the following activities: project manager Ñwill meet Hugh McCauley to understand the requirements, budget and time constraint of the Ñproject. System analyst will review the current system and database to assessing the current Ñsituation to define the problems. The project manager will Ñdefine the roles of the project, identify Ñresources, forming teams, draft project plan Ñand wait until the management approved it to transit Ñto the next stage.Ñ
Stage 2: analysis
The duration of this stage is 13 days, it includes the following activities: system Ñanalysis Ñwill analyze the current situation through personnel interview and reviewing the current Ñdocuments, and then he will submit his analysis to management then wait to get the feedback Ñfrom management to incorporate it in his analysis. The project manager will develop the Ñpreliminary budget and timeline.Ñ
Stage 3: design solution Ñ
The duration of this stage is 17 days, it includes the following activities: system analysis Ñwill review and develop functional specifications. Project manager will obtain approval on Ñsolution design to proceed to next stage.Ñ
Stage 4: Implement Design
The duration of this stage is 62 days, it includes the following activities: developers' team Ñwill reviewing the functional specifications, identifying design parameters, developing HR code, Ñand make debugging and primary testing.Ñ
