What really is the light? Do we really follow it in our daily lives? How does it help us out when you look back at life? People always forget the path leading to the Sacred and how to get there through daily distractions and problems that can lead us off the road to the Sacred. So what should we really do about this issue? You choose always choose the right decisions/choices in life to lead us down the right path. If we don’t follow the right path, we can be left in a crossroad in our life that we have to try and get pass. In order for us to reach the Sacred, we should choose the right paths so we can live successful lives, live more in the image and likeness of God, and not allow the lights of the secular life lead us away from true salvation.

So to start, what really are the right paths to choose to live a successful life? Who makes this pathway for us to follow? What are the guidelines to living a good life? All these are many answers that one may ask in a lifetime. It is a part of our life that we need to find and complete. What gets us on the right pathway to live a successful life? Firstly, it starts off with the choices that we choose to make in our life. If we don’t make the proper choices in our life, it can lead to a hard life. First, we have to have respect for ourselves. By this, we need to help ourselves become better people because there is nobody else that can become a good person for you but yourself. In life, there is nobody handing us a silver spoon telling us what to do, yet we have to make our own decisions. If we want to follow the path, it starts in our daily lives with simple things such as going to school to get a proper education, treating your body with dignity and respect, etc. As long as you understand that your body belongs to you. Also, having respect for others is another key perspective in the path to the Sacred. By being a good person, treating people with respect and kindness, and caring for each other. This helps us to be good role models for others. Last, to go down the right pathway, we need to stay true to out faith. It doesn’t matter what religion you are such as a Christian, Catholic, Muslim, etc. Keeping your belief in God helps you to be a better person inside and out. Things such as going to church, praying, reading the Bible are examples of things we should do in our daily lives. We need to make the right choices in life because things that can harm us wont just harm us individually, yet will affect people such as God, family, etc. We need to stay on the path to righteousness and goodness because if we don’t, it can leave us in a horrible life position. These are some choices we make in order for us to live successful lives.

Next, on the pathway to the Sacred, we need to look at examples of people that did good, for us such as Jesus/God. What does it really mean to live in the image and likeness of God? To follow this path, we need to first look at some things that are examples of living a good life. Jesus lived a life which is an example of living a good life. Jesus performed many miracles such as healing the nobleman’s son at Cana (John 4: 46-54), cleansed a leper (Matthew 8: 2-4), and even healed a lame man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-9). These are some examples of some miracles that Jesus performed throughout his lifetime. Throughout all the miracles performed, there is a lesson from each one of them. The lesson learned is that it doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, or how you live, anybody can be a Good Samaritan if they wish to be one. Regarding our daily lives, we need to respect the rules of society, respect the neighbors we have around us, and should always help those that are in need. If you look around society, there is always a person that needs a helping hand, but there are many few people there to give it. Examining Jesus’ life, he always had the time to help out a person in need, no matter what color skin they had, or what disease they had. You should show the exact same love Jesus showed for us in society with people. People in today’s society will never take the time to help out the poor or the sick because our society has rapidly changed into a more greedy society. If a deed is done for a person, people now expect something in return for there work. With Jesus’ miracles, he performed them and never asked for anything in return. Jesus loved us, so we should try and live up to his standards
