Piers Anthony, the one we love, has a facinating history. Of course, any Piers fan might think this. So, let's go over a brief biography of his life.
Piers Anthony (Dillingham Jacob), a writer of science fiction and fantasy, was born on August 6, 1934 in Oxford, England. He has written many novels and short stories, but he is mostly known for his book series Xanth. Originally, he wanted the Xanth series to be only a trilogy, but it has turned out to be a "trilogy of thirty." Piers's worj has often been criticised for the excessive use of puns, as well as...undesirable human relationships.
In 1956, Piers married Carol Marble. They soon has children, and just recently, Piers has become a grandfather. Also, in 1956, he received
his B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree from Goddard College, located in Plainfield, Vermont.
Soon after graduating, Piers joined up with the U.S. Army between the years 1957-1959. During his service time, he become a naturalized citizen of the Inited States in 1958.
In his early life, Piers did not write very much, but he would soon write a multitude of books. He originally started with science fiction before he ventured into the fantasy genre with a little apprehension. HOwever, this feeling was buffeted when one of his fantasy novels found itself on the New York Time's best seller list. Within the next year ir two, you may also see a movie coming out, based on the book "A Spell for Chameleon."
