So, you are down with class; now its time to shut down your hardworking computer. Don't you wish you could just click on one button on your desktop to shut down your computer instead of having to go to the start menu - then shut down - then telling your computer to shut down from the menu of tasks? How about creating a shortcut on your desktop that all you have to do is just click it and it does the work of shutting down your computer for you. For the name leave it shutdown or type in a new name with your customization like SEE YA, OFF, or GOOD BYE.
2. After you have created your shortcut on your desktop, just double-click on it to shut down your computer. Your computer should now be shutting down. Now it is time to customize your new shortcut.
3. There are some switches you can use to customize your shutdown shortcuts. To use the switches type in, shutdown -s will shut down PC, shutdown -r will reboot PC, shutdown -f will forces any running applications to shot down, shutdown -l will log off the current user. Why not have two buttons on your desktop? It is easy to make one to shutdown your computer and one that will reboot your computer.

shutdown -s - This one will shut down the PC.
shutdown -r - This one will reboot the PC.
6. Now you need to change the icons to a better looking icons. Right click on your new shutdown shortcut and pick properties on the menu. Then click on change icon, now pick a new icon for
