Purdue university Calumet located 25 miles southeast of downtown Chicago offers a great

program designed to meet the needs of students looking for a good start in the

construction industry with a good degree.Whether your looking for a bachelors or even

masters degree Purdue is for you.

Bachelor of science , construction management and engineering technologies,

offers a wide variety of courses from property and behavior of soils to construction

operations. All the courses will help you get ready for your career. If your eyes are set on

surveying you are in luck. Purdue has an optional b.s, construction management and

engineering technologies with surveying being the big portion of studies. Both degrees

require about 130 credit hours , which would take about 8 semesters going to school full

time.

ABET , the accreditation board for engineering and technology , has recognized

most of Purdue's programs in technology. The university itself , since 1969 is accredited

by the higher learning commission of the north central association of colleges and

schools, prior to 1969 Purdue university calumet was included in Purdue's university

accreditation. Being accredited shows a sense of value, pride to Purdue's programs and

graduates.

The student faculty ratio is 21 to 1 at Purdue, so you have an opportunity to be in

medium sized classes allowing teachers to focus on individual needs. Department head of

the program is Anthony M. Gregory , who also holds two degrees from Purdue university

along with a masters in city and regional planning from Illinois institute of technology.

Anthony's expertise comes in surveying and legal descriptions , being a professional land

surveyor in Illinois from 1981 and a registered land surveyor in Indiana from 1986 helps

also.
