Push Stick
This project was fairly easy, but to others it may seem complicated so as you read I will tell you how to make a push stick with step-by-step instructions.
1. You trace your layout onto the piece of wood you'll be working with.
2. Then, go to the band saw and cut out the rough shape.
3. After that, then go to the scroll saw to get into the bottom part of the handle were the band saw would do poorly.
4. After you have those steps done you've got a Rough push stick in your hands now its time to move over to the sander, Remember not to hold your piece in one spot too long or else you'll burn the wood.
5. After you've made sure that there is no rough spots or any dings or dents now it's time to apply lacquer, to apply this you put on nice even wipes with the cloth, don't be afraid to get your hands messy the nicer and more even strokes on the wood will make your finished product worth all the mess.
6. Before you apply a second coat you might have to take some sand paper and sand out any air bubbles or imperfections apply second coat to ensure awesome finish!
7. Next, this is the final step you're almost done! You have to mask tape off the tip and paint it red and you're done
Now didn't really have any snags on this project, but who's to say that if I did it again it would turn out this great! Some people might have a little trouble on this project. I am a woodworker; my dad and I have been doing it for years so something this simple was easy. Something like this is awesome because you can learn how to use tool and you get an awesome new push stick to use wherever you see fit.
The creative side came out in me when I personalized it with my name in wood burner. Nothing could honestly be personalized other than a name and stuff like that. Since you want more like 2 more sentences I have to jabber on about nothing. I love to play the guitar.
If I were to do this project again I would do a few things differently, such as, I would use a different router bit I didn't really like the way that one cut. I didn't really like the actual push stick design it was too simple. This is the end of my page so I would like to leave you with this always read your safety manuals
