Religion has had a massive impact on all societies throughout time. Some religions have had better impacts on their followers than others. Confucianism had a great impact on its followers. Religions used to be very important for everyday people but it's not good in today's society.
Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all Monotheistic religions. Christianity evolved from Judaism and Islam evolved from both of them. Judaism and Christianity have the 10 commandments (Doc 1). Islam has the 5 pillars (Doc 8). Muslims and Jews stress the unity the oneness of god. Christianity is the most popular and easiest to follow. Jews believe their god is always judging them. According to the quran (Doc 2) people who don’t believe in Allah will face a path of affliction after death. Christians who are merciful shall obtain mercy (Doc 9).
Buddhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism are eastern religions that have been practiced for centuries. While Hinduism is centered around being a supreme being, Confucianism and Buddhism are centered around a teachings of a man. Each encourages charity, moral behavior and respect for the universe. The Mahabharata teaches Hindus to Bear pain and wait patiently (Doc 3). The Ancient people of Ghana had a good impact from Hinduism because it taught them to be patient and farm. Confucius believed a leader should be nourishing, righteous, and respectful (Doc 4). Buddhist believe desire is the cause of suffering and one ends suffering by ending desire (Doc 6). According to Zongi mi Confucius, Laozi, and Buddha must be respected because all three of their teachings lead to orderly societies. Hindus and Buddhist believe in god while Confucianism does not.
Many Hindus have felt the negative effects of their religion such as being born into class system and being judged by that ranking in society. The Brahmins were the only literate people in the class system (Doc 7). Religion is one of the main reasons why people are afraid of living. And when I say ‘living’ I don’t mean just surviving. To live means to be sensitive, it means to feel, to grow, to discover your potential and achieve to higher states of being. The demands that religion's place on people are unrealistic. Religion teaches that people are born with sinners. Whatever we humans are doing is bound to be corrupted in one way or another. But that has consequences. When you fail to do what God has ordered, you start to hate yourself.
