Christianity

Christianity began in 1st century AD in Jerusalem. It was created by the Jews as a form of Jewish Sect. Christianity is taught upon the life of Jesus Christ and his twelve Apostles. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the savior or messiah, in the resurrection of Christ, in salvation, the passages of the Bible, and in heaven and hell. Christianity quickly spread through the Roman Empire and further. Christianity is also taking root in Asia, mostly through out South Korea and China. Christianity is the world's largest religion. The religion had many disputes with resulted in the many churches and views. The religion allows many to believe in a higher being as a source of good judgment or bad judgment. Many believe if they do good things and atone for their sins that God will forgive them and they will go to heaven. This belief offers an increase in education and increases acts of kindness in the world. Although these are good things it promotes a need to do acts of kindness in order to gain acceptance in God's eyes. This religion can also make one spite God and the world for many horrible suffering one has endured.

Islam

Islam originated from the teachings of Muhammad. Islam originated from Arabia in the 7th century from Muhammad's reading of the Qur'an. Islam is based off of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. All Muslims have to believe in God, his angels, and in the "Judgment Day." There are many different sects, like the Sunni and the Shi'a. The Sunni populates 85% of the Muslim population while the Shi'a controls 15% of the population. There have been disputes about oil distribution between the two groups. Islam has continued to spread through Asia and Africa. Islam is the second largest religion. Islam has had a major impact on political, economic, and military trends and beliefs. Islam has changed people's ideas on the worth of their lives. While it makes people have a sense of nationalism, this nationalism only comes from the belief that is the sacrifice themselves for God that they will be granted a higher status with God.

Hinduism

Hinduism originated from the Indian subcontinent. Hinduism has no known founder. Hinduism is based by the different beliefs of the Indus Valley Civilization, the Vedic religion of the Indo-Aryans, and other Indian civilizations between the span of 3300-1700 BC. This worldwide religion is based of the Vedas, and the beliefs of other Indian civilizations. Hinduism is also referred to as Sanātana Dharma or the "eternal law." Hinduism is the oldest extant religion. Hinduism is the third in the largest religion in the world. Prominent themes in Hindu beliefs include Dharma (ethics/duties), Samsara (The continuing cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth), Karma (action and subsequent reaction), Moksha (liberation from samsara), and the various yogas (paths or practices). This religion effectively promotes the idea that if you do good things then good things will happen to you. Hinduism also has adverse effects because it uses class system which causes social oppression, and women in the Hindu religion practice women self-immolation which restricts divorce, property rights, or widow re-marriage.

Judaism

Judaism is believed to be the covanent between god and Abraham in 2000 BC in Cannon. What makes them different than modern day religions is that their isn't a central authority control by a person or group. The Jewish have clung to many beliefs but most important is the belief in one all powerful God. Jewish people believe in studying the many teachings of God. The Torah the jewish religions' main source of scripture since god gave his laws and commandments to moses on Mt. Sinai.
