Abstract

This CLA1 is about establishment of fictitious company on the paper. In this paper, I have discussed about business strategy and their implementation in my fictitious company. Similarly, I also discuss the vision and mission statement regarding the factors of my fictitious company. Lastly, I performed the SWOT analysis of the company and discuss about competitive strategies regarding that SWOT analysis report.

Report on Fictitious Company-Aqua Drinking Water P. Ltd.

        Aqua Drinking Water P. Ltd. is established in 2017 A.D with the aim to produce high quality and safe drinking water to the people of Kathmandu Valley. There are two lines for production and one shrink film production line. It has plan to produce 2 varieties in PET bottles (1000ml) and 1 in Jar product (20 Liters).

        Its plant is located in capital city of Nepal “Ranibari, Kathmandu”. There are 14 stages water treatment system which includes standard RO with ozone and UV system with multi-barrier filtration system to make the water hazard free and safe for drinking for our customer. It is establish on the basis of local regulatory requirements provided by Nepal Food law and Regulation.

        Business strategy is the plan, choices and decision for the formulation, implementation and evaluation of the organization activities which helps to achieve its long- term objectives and lead to great profit and success ( Kourdi, 2009 ). Business strategies explain where the business can be successful as well as its weak, vulnerable or failing area and also determine how to utilize the resources to meet the customer’s changing preferences.

        In the perspectives of my business/company, I have selected a best-cost provider strategy to create a competitive advantage, to show the path way how to perform, what our capabilities are, and to achieve long term growth.

        Best-cost provider strategy is a hybrid strategy of low cost provider and differentiation strategies (Gamble, Peteraf, & Thompsom Jr, 2013).   This strategy helps to satisfy the customer by fulfilling the expectation of them such as quality, features, service and price etc. For the implementation of this strategy, Aqua drinking water P. Ltd. has prepared to manufacture all the material like label, bottle, preform, caps etc. within the factory premise which reduces the costs of transportation and raw material price. This helps us to provide the quality produced in best price compare to its competitor to the customer. It has also imported various automatic machines for packaging, sealing, capping etc. which is helpful for reduce of labor cost and achieve objective of Best-cost provide strategy. Similarly, for product different, our team is working in R& D to launch premium product with attractive packaging. It has also started the process for the ISO 22000 certification which mean customer now get the product of international standard within best price. Aqua drinking P. Ltd is more focus on providing quality product, create an emotional attachment with the customer (response to their complaint through survey, call, SMS etc.), expand the produced line, and ensure consistency in store operations for competitive advantage to achieve the best cost provider strategy

        The organization summarizes their goals and objective in mission and vision statements. So, vision statement focuses on the future and mission statements focuses on the present. Vision statement is a source and main ideas of a company which shows the imagination position of a company in the future (Sabrautzki, 2010) . It is the main source of inspiration and motivation. Similarly, Mission statement is a company’s core which defines customers, critical process, informs about the desired level of performance and separates the company from other company in same industry.

        The vision and mission statement of Aqua drinking P. Ltd are as follows:

Mission Statement:

  • To manufacture and supply best and safe drinking water ( hazard free) with the help of 14 stage water treatment system

Vision Statement:

  • Our vision is to become a recognized and respected leader in providing best quality and safe drinking within country’s premise through a focus on customer need, innovation, delivering excellent product and service, equipped with competent professionals imbued with dedication & integrity and continued improvement.

The factors that I consider on written the vision and mission statement of my company is:

  1. Graphic: It tells about what kind of company it want to be in the future. The vision statements of my company explain that it want to be a recognized and respected leader safe drinking company within the country premise.
  2. Directional: The vision statement has describes the strategic course that will helps the company to compare for the future.
  3. Focused: It has maintained the point about the customer need, innovation, quality service and product which can provide guidelines to the top management to take decision.
  4. Feasible: it is very much feasible to achieve the mention vision and mission statement.
  5. Desirable: The point “continued improvement “ helps my company to generated more success through the fulfillment of the customer desires and need regarding the product & service which can be directional path for good business sense.
  6. Easy to communicate: It is written in simple and easy word which is very easy to communicate.

.When Company reached the critical market situation then it need tools to analysis its situation and finds the proper strategy for the growth of the organization (Böhm, 2009 ). So, SWOT analysis is useful tools for the company to understand its strength and weaknesses, and identify the opportunities and eliminate the threats.
