Summary
San Andreas is a 2015 American disaster film directed by Brad Peyton. It is all about an earthquake caused by the San Andreas Fault devastating the San Francisco Bay Area.
Characters:
Dwayne Johnson (Ray Gaines)
Carla Gugino (Emma)
Alexandra Daddario (Blake)
Paul Giamatti (Dr. Lawrence Hayes)
Hugo Johnstone-Burt (Ben)
Art Parkinson (Ollie)
The Seismologists Lawrence Hayes predicts that the whole San Andreas might go off and warns the people through the news coverage of a massive earthquake that will trigger in California. He tells the people to get out now, and their lives depends on it.
In Los Angeles, the Fire Department Air Rescue pilot Ray Gaines is back to work for another mission when a magnitude of 9 earthquake triggers, leaving his family in trouble. He then finally saves her estranged wife Emma and together they are going to save their daughter Blake together with Ben and Ollie who save her from being stuck in debris when the earthquake happens.
Before the parents save them from the building, it starts to sink into the ground. Blake separates from the two brothers as they made it up to the floor. Blake is now trapped and apparently dies from drowning. Ray struggles to get her out. Ray then tries to revive Blake, but as the building is going to collapse, Emma uses the boat to drive through the window and they quickly get out as the building finally collapses completely.
Once outside, after Ray tried to revive Blake, she is now back to her life and finally reunites with her family. The family along with Ben and Ollie watch the sunset, on the destroyed geography and aftermath of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Reaction
The movie was about the California's San Andreas fault that had a massive earthquake and aftershocks with a magnitude of 9 followed by a tsunami. I have also seen how the p-waves moves in the surface as the energy in the earth's interior travels during the earthquake.
