Yes childhood obesity is a social problem. This has been a long time problem over years. I feel as though it wouldn't be a social problem if parents wouldn't let there children eat unhealthy foods. Yes it's quick and easy when you as a parent have a long day at work and its easy to feed your children but when you get fast food it's sticks to your body for days and builds up fat. I feel as though parents and fast food restaurants are shaping the problem of child. I agree with rookie1994 this is a social problem for then just children its America period. From the amount of calories to the amount of exercise doesn't add up togather. So that's why it shaped us America's as a whole. The communities of operatives is the media and the parents because the parents allow the child to constantly eat unhealthy foods. The media plays a huge role in this social problem because its play commercials of Mc Donald's and Burger King and advertise the deals that they have. In high school we watched Fast Food Nation and it showed a Mexican Family Buying food in the grocery store and it costed them like 50 dollars when they could of just went to the fast food restaurant and for filthy dollars that could of feed them for a week when the the fifty dollars they spent there only feed them for one night. America is wealthy country and hunger is not a large problem in America anymore like Schloosers said in his article. This was one of the many big problems that was brought up throughout the article. Obesity is a big killer to Americans. It's not a issue that should be taken lightly and exercise and eating healthy should be taken with life. Watching TV and seeing the kids up there weighting 100 pounds at the age of seven brakes my heart because I start to think what if that was my niece or nephew. It also said in the article that France is becoming a problem with obesity and I remember at one point that didnt occur there that's why they were calling America Fast America. Here's My Blog !
