In this age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest. *Henry Miller {1891-1980 American Author} Goal setting has been a vital element in my life that has made me a strong and determined individual. It has made my educational career more life-like and desirable. My attendance at the University of San Diego was a dream (and almost miracle) realized through goal setting. ButÐ'...Ð'...this goal, as well as others, would never have been attained without the love and support from my family and surrounding community. The goal related stories that I heard from each and everyone of them, including my mother, my career center counselor, and several of my high school teachers encouraged me to realize my goal. I would also like to thank God, because His mercy is endless and my faith in Him, have kept me in the right path.

After college, my goal is to work in strengthening the global linkage between Latin America and the United States in the arts, social and/or economic issues. I would like to work as a missionary for a year and come back to the San Diego area to work in both the field music and in the community. Overall, I would like to give back to the State of California and all the organizations that helped me pay my college education, which is something that I will have with me for the rest of my life.
