How to install security cameras
Security cameras are being used worldwide for various purposes.
While installing security cameras, we need to make a diagram of surveillance needs. The diagram includes the blueprint of the area. Then, the area with greater need of camera is noted. When done, every location is checked out just to make sure that nothing blocks camera and it provides best view possible. People generally use security cameras in front and back doors, off street windows, large common spaces porches and stairways.
After number of camera and the locations of cameras are decided, suitable cameras need to be chosen. The camera circuit: wired or wireless, indoor or outdoor, motion sensing, remote viewing etc. After right cameras are chosen, Digital Video Recorder is added on circuit to store and view footage. DVR had different memory capacities that allow them to sore a certain amount of video, from hundreds of hours to one day’s worth of footage.
We need to choose a high, broad angle as the location of the camera. Generally, the looking down corner, where the walls meet ceilings is best angle for camera. We need to make sure that we can see all entries and exits and that the camera is near power outlet. If camera is to be mounted outside, it should be placed above 1o ft. so that it can’t be easily knocked down. Although some cameras have sticky pads to adhere cameras, screwing a camera is the best way to mount a camera. While mounting, we should place it in desired location; make marks on wall where each screw should go, drill a hole for each screw using electric drill, hammer in molding pins and screw the mount into wall. Finally, we should position the camera tour desired angle.
