Improved Senses
You have five senses. They consist of the sense of sight, smell, hearing, tasting, and touch. All of these senses are vital in life. But, There are people who have had these senses and lost them. I'm not talking about losing all the senses at once, but instead just one of them. For example lets say that Billy loses the sense of sight. Billy's other senses would improve. Billy would hear and be able to listen much closely than he would have been able to do if he still had his sight. His sense of touch would improve as well, because without sight he would have to get around by his sense of touch. Also, his sense of smell would become greater.
These senses improve because they are making up for the sense that was lost. This is true no matter what sense is lost. Some people even say that losing a sense, powers up your other senses. If a person goes deaf, then his other senses improve. One of these senses that would improve is the person's sense of sight. The deaf person would be able to see thing in more detail than a person with all their senses might. Another sense that would improve is the person's sense of smell
If a person goes blind his sense of hearing improves because that's the way that person is going to be able to half way communicate with another person. The sense of touch would be greatly improved because that is the way that, that blind person will be able to communicate and to move around. The person's sense of smell will improve as well.
I think that the senses of a person improves when another sense is lost because humans are smart and can learn how to adapt to a situation like losing one of there five senses.
