I hope to solve the problem of peoples’ dirty shoes with my idea of the “Shoe Guard.” With the idea I hope to create a spray that creates a clear removable layer of plastic like material. This spray would be sprayed onto shoes to keep them clean and in good condition. I implemented Tom Kelly’s technique of “Capture [our] best ideas,” where I decided to think beyond the idea of just making a cheap replicable shoe or an idea of how to encourage people to keep buying new shoes. This also leads me to become more abstract; with ideas to expand such sprays into unique color/shine variations that can basically completely alternate the entire look of the shoe. With my idea, I hope to create a very innovative business with product lines that with expand and change the entire foot wear industry.

Key Channels: Like most companies, we will begin by having a simple website that offers our products, samples, intern applications etc. We then may move on to having our products sold at footwear and clothing stores.

Key Partnerships: I plan to possibly begin by seeking investments into my entrepreneurial venture from venture capitalists. With money to get going, I would hope to move into possible partnerships with footwear dealers like Footlocker, Nike, Adidas, etc. Then I may go look to try and find sponsorships and get famous athletes/celebrities to use “Shoe Guard” and market our product lines.

Key Activities: Everything begins with creating the groups of people we want to target with our marketing. We can target the general public with a product that can keep their shoes clean for years to come. We can target people that are into fashion and want something to spice up the look on their kicks; a shoe shinning spray, color/de-coloring spray, and other shoe accessories There are many ways we can approach this to begin and slowly expand our business into something much bigger.

Key Resources: Our resources wills stem from investments and grow into a “brand” that everyone will come to recognize on a daily basis. Once we become recognized by the public other companies may come at us with plans to work with us or even offer us a deal to buy us out.

Customer relationships: Everything begins with the idea of “putting the interests of our customers first.” We will have excellent customer services and maintain strong relationships with our customers because we want to build off them as well. We want our customers to spread the word: get their friends and families involved with our products. We want to create that kind of image for ourselves and the rest of the community.

Customer Segments: Our customers will reap the cost and fashion benefits of our products. The will learn to know that we put our clients’ interests first.
