Should people be given capital punishment for murder and rape?
"Rape" the word itself sends across the chills down the spine. Only a woman who has undergone such brutal circumstance can understands the pain, disgraceful and ignominious. This type of crime is the most shameful facet of humanity. Women who were raped not only stand the grief of physical injury also obsess the metal sense. Nowadays, thousands of rape cases are found in daily news. Recently newspaper discusses about an Indian girl who was rape and kills by six men on the bus. Those cases happen almost every day and all over the world. I agree that all persons convicted of the crime of murder and rape should be given a mandatory death penalty.
In my opinion, Capital punishment should be given to the rapist because
. If we says that taking a man's life as a vengeance is not good, what about the people whom he has killed? There is no value for their life? We should remember that because of such criminals many of the families had lost their breadwinners, their children etc. If a person is not punished according to the crime he/she has done, others will repeat the same crime a thousand times, they will not have any fear of punishment. Judiciary gives capital punishment only after a series of trials and according to the nature and gravity of the crime. For instance, in Kasab's case he was given death sentence only after a series of trials which were conducted over four long years and he was also given enough opportunities to defend himself.
