Nowadays, whether the public should stop smoking forever has led to a hot debate. In my opinion, I totally agree with those who are against smoking, although, for smokers, nothing seems more painful and difficult than giving up the habit.

Admittedly, smoking is a kind of method to relax the smokers. People are used to smoking while they are feeling upset or under too much stress, because cigarets can bring great pleasure to them. However, smoking is not the only approach in which people can cheer up. For example, doing sports is a good alternative to get rid of stress.

In addition, what can smoking bring to the public is damage. First of all, the smoke is a kind of air pollution which can be harmful to people's health especially those who breath the second-hand smoke. And that is also the reason why I hate smoking. My father always smokes at home which leads to the gap between us, because I really cannot stand the smell of the polluted air.

What is more, smoking can bring bad influence to teenagers even pupils. It is known that if there is a smoking father or grandfather in one family, their children will have a big chance to smoke. And it is very common now that students always smoke in the toilet at school. Therefore , only when smoking is completely banned and cigaret becomes not common can these adverse effects disappear .

To sum up, although smoking brings psychological benefits to smokers, a complete ban of smoking can help the public to get rid of several social problems, especially those on teens.
