I will analyze the popularity of Las Vegas the show on NBC, and discuss why it is an artistic success. Las Vegas was a hit with adults and teens because it attracted many viewers during their good years.

Success of Las Vegas is mainly based on its Sex Appeal guns and money. Those are the 3 main things that will attract any younger guy to watch the show. Mostly in every episode they will show a hot smoking girl in a bikini not once but multiple times. Other than for the average young guy the show does attract female audience. Las Vegas has some mini plots to it that include Delinda being pregnant and Sam’s love affairs.

The shows popularity can be seen as the following statistics from www.tv.com:

Show: Las Vegas 9.0 out of 10

Ratings Rank: 400 of 17,380

Show Reviews: 173

Rating Statistics:

superb: 1,937 (37.4%)

perfect: 1,474 (28.4%)

great: 1,242 (24%)

good: 342 (6.6%)

Other: 190 (3.7%)

That says a lot, only less than 4% of the rankers didn’t like the show.

Las Vegas followed all the conventional Vegas type of movie stunts. It has robberies, hostage taking and more robberies. But it did have some invetional things like during season 4's finale everything just happened at once shootings, robberies, drama and kidnaping.

The show itself is great it has great actors and writers and loyal fans. Las Vegas got canceled about 3 months ago, because of NBC. That automatically listed the show as a failure. It was never a failure. NBC failed to make the show available to the audience that suits it. People that watch that show are constantly out on Friday nights. No wonder NBC got poor audience ratings for itself on Friday nights. The show didn’t fail. NBC as a company failed the show. After Las Vegas was canceled its fans made a movement on their own to get the show back on air. NBC didn’t care a slight bit about this movement. Even TV guide published stories about NBC’s poor attitude to the loyal fans of Las Vegas.
