Special Education Teaching
I want to become a Special Education Teacher. I think that this job will have come with so many joys. But at the same time be very difficult.
Some of the challenges to becoming an special education teacher is dealing and helping the kids overcome what some would say easy every day challenges. They say it takes a special person to do this because it like to try your patients and your nerves. Some of the kids will need extra care and will need to do things in a certain way. Some of the things that you have to do in a special education classroom to make it easier for the kids that is different than in a regular classroom. Desks should be arranged in a manner where each student has his/her own personal desk...no sharing or grouping, as this leads to major distractions for the special ed child. Centers should be arranged in various parts of the room where students can go when they are done with their individual work, so they do not disturb others. These centers can be filled with fun and educational things such as puzzles, easy reading with pictures, The teacher's and aide's desks should be placed at opposite ends of the classroom, front and back, for supervision purposes.
