Strategy formulation
The first step I would take to solve this problem would be creating corporate global code of conduct. I would make sure that the code goes into considerable details which would cover the following areas: relationships with employees, different business practices, competitive conduct, observance of local and international laws, business ethics and relationships with the public officials. The following code of conduct will aspire employees to adopt and follow to moral and legal practices of the country they are working in. The scenario is taking place in Bernalia, where the circumcision is considered to be legal and morally accepted, the U.S. chief doctor, with the respect to the legal and moral rights of his home country, we have to take specific guidelines in consideration.
The second step would be developing ethics and global strategy that would clarify that whatever decisions are made are not influenced in case by competition and concerns about money contributions. So if the doctor is to operate the patient, the factors such as competitive advantage and profit should not influence his decision.
The next step would be activity suspension statement. Thus, if there is a huge gap between ethical values of the home country and the host country, I would suggest to suspend particular activities in host country. Each country has freedom to have its own standards, but it doesnÐŽ¦t mean that international firms should do business in that country.
And finally, in order to avoid further misunderstandings, our corporation should be constantly aware of the impacts on local as well as foreign societies that our corporation has. The most common way to accomplish this is to enforce ethical impact statements. Based on the information provided in these statements, our corporation would have the ability to change or just modify business practices in much correct, ethical direction.

The disappointed family of the girl might file charges and discontinue making generous contributions to our hospital.
Although the suspension of activities was enforced, there is still a huge possibility that our organization will be faced with racial and cultural accusations.
c) Remember to mention how your decision would effect your trust as a manager and your relationship with the rest of the hospital staff, and what would you do to cope with those negative implications.
The fact that our corporation would be focused on public criticism and not placing employees on the first place, this may lead to disastrous results for morale and job satisfaction within our corporation. In the long-term, this can lead to valuable employees looking for other jobs and leaving our corporation. And since the employees are corporationÐŽ¦s most valuable ÐŽ§capitalÐŽÐ, this alone might be a reason why I as a manager should focus on employeesÐŽ¦ morals and traditional beliefs as individuals. The current problem may directly affect my trust as a manager and relationship with the rest of the hospital staff. For the resolution of this issue, I would conduct a seminar with the employees in order to help them understand that it is very important to follow code of ethics of the corporation. Also I will explain that this is the matter of satisfying our stakeholdersÐŽ¦ moral and legal rights and wants, and there is nothing personal.
