A. Synopsis

Madame Loisel always dreams about having a luxurious lifestyle , it is because she is not happy with her middle-class lifestyle. Her husband, Monsieur Loisel worked as a clerk in the Ministry of Education therefore they lived a life which is not well off financially.
One evening Monsieur Loisel received an invitation to a Ball party. It was not easy for him to get the invitation. It was troublesome for Madame Loisel at the beginning, it is because of the things that she does not have to be able to attend the Ball which her husband had trouble to get it. It is a "rich" peoples party, and Madame Loisel wanted to dress as one. She needed a to be rich physically or she refuses to come. At first Monsieur Loisel saved money to buy himself a gun but at the end he gave her the money to buy a suitable dress. After she bought the dress, she wanted some jewelry on her to make it perfect. So her husband asked her to ask her old friend Madame Forestier to borrow some for the night, which was a beautiful necklace. They attended the party and Madame Loisel ended up as the beauty of the night. Every man wanted to waltz with her. It was late and the couple left quickly before anyone recognizes their cheap coat.
They arrived at their home, but something was missing. The necklace. Madame Loisel realized it when they reach home and panicked. They looked everywhere, even Monsieur Loisel went to the places and streets where they were earlier. But they found nothing but an empty space on Madame Loisel's neck.
Thus, they tried to find a similar necklace in town. They entered every jewelry store but couldn't find the one that they were looking for. At last, they entered a jewelry store called Palais-Royal. Lucky for them they found the similar necklace that they have been looking for. But the necklace was worth forty thousand francs, but the store let them buy for thirty six thousand francs. The Loisels bought the necklace and gave it back to the owner. They had to borrow money from any sources that they can find, even Monsieur Loisel had to empty up his life savings. But Madame Forestier didn't had any clue that the necklace that her friend returned was not the original necklace that she had.
