Independent School District #110, located in Waconia, Minnesota seeks a proven, experienced professional Director of Information Technology to provide overall IT leadership and strategic IT direction. The Director will supervise a team of technology support specialists, Network Administrator, Business Systems manager, and student interns. The Director of Information Technology will report to the Superintendent.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Executing and supporting the technology vision/mission of the School.
Maintaining a stable, 24x7, productive, secure, and accessible school network.
Providing strategic and visionary leadership and planning in all areas of school technology including campus operations, K-12 Technology Education, and Classroom Technology Integration.
Providing strategic and operational day to day IT decision-making which results in an appropriate blend of IT service delivery, with need to manage IT ROI and total cost of ownership.
Collaborating heavily with faculty and staff on people, process and tools in order to proactively drive successful IT projects/teams.
Overseeing the day to day activities of the technical support specialists and Network Administrator.
Defining the annual IT budget, conducting IT purchasing, and planning and implementing associated annual strategic IT projects.
Developing and maintaining IT related project implementation plans including detail listing of tasks, resources assignments, work progress, and ongoing identification of potential constraints.
Providing hands-on network and application assistance as required during peak work periods.
Acting as primary contact for continual communication with implementation consultants and IT related vendors.
Communicating IT related status, changes and progress to all constituents, including administration, faculty, technology steering committees, project sponsors, project team, and other functional users
