System Administrator
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for all aspects of systems administration including networks, applications, databases, and telecommunications. This includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures. He is also performs basic systems security administration functions, including creating customer profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems; performs systems backups and recovery procedures; writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems; maintains system documentation and logs; performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; maintain network security authentication including IP telephony security, application security; administer secure links with public key encryption, anti-virus, user authentication; provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations; keep current with new security and network monitoring technologies, applicable laws and regulations.
Information Security
Responsibilities of Information Security Administrator include the management and supervision of use of security measures to protect data, and conduct of personnel in relation to the protection of data. Information Security Administrator responsible for defining security frameworks for existing and new systems. He is responsible for system security planning, developing, and implementing security policies across multiple platforms; ensures successful implementation and maintenance of the defined standards; ensures compliance of IT Security Policies; provides support in security management and security architect standards and documentations; manages and supports networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure; manages security devices such as firewall, IDS, VPN; provides technical support and consultation for enhancement of and change to network security configuration; maintains documentation; defines processes to manage the network security; develops cutting-edge, innovative solutions for IT networks security; studies the proliferation of viruses; prevent hacker intrusion; conducts active penetration tests;
