Tangerine

Confidence thrives on honesty-Franklin D. Roosevelt. Honesty is like a a ladder you have to start at the bottom and work your way up if you hold on too loosely you'll fall off if you hold on too tightly you'll never be able to get any higher . In the novel Tangerine by Edward Bloor, Paul Fisher, the main protagonist, has to go through many challenges to test his honesty. Paul test his honesty in three ways one is he tells the principle the truth about what happened at the carnival, second Antoine Thomas, another character in the book Tangerine, decides to come clean and tell everyone about something he lied about which makes Paul tell everybody about something a lot worse involving his brother, third Paul's parents decide to tell Paul something they should of told him a lot earlier.

Then on senors night for the football team he told the whole school what he did. He was punished but happy about it. When Antoine said that it really made Paul think about all of the things he didn't tell anybody about, But Paul did tell people about one huge situation that happened a little while before the Antoine Thomas incident. One day Paul was at the High school when he saw Erik, Paul's Brother, arguing with this person named Luis the Erik's friend Arthur comes and hits Luis with a baton type weapon and
