Tax or Audit

Dear Deloitte and Touche:

I am interested in a Tax or Audit Intern position with Deloitte and Touche. Given my standing as an Honors Program student majoring in Accounting at Iona College, I would appreciate your consideration for this job opening. I am an energetic, self-starter and know how to carry myself professionally. I am incredibly organized and can easily adapt to any given situation.

During my academic career at Iona College I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Applications including Office, PowerPoint, and Excel due to my outstanding performance in Computer Science and Management and Information Systems courses. In addition, my employment and internship with the Corporate Treasury office for Stolt-Nielsen, USA has given me an invaluable experience in Corporate Treasury from an accounting and finance standpoint. My resume highlights some of my responsibilities which include preparing various debt and amortization schedules, preparing bank reconciliations, and handling bank confirmations and intercompany confirmations.

I would be a positive asset to Deloitte and Touche as a Tax or Audit Intern. I work above and beyond to make sure everything I do is completed on time with no detail left unfinished. I know what it is like to work under deadlines in fast-paced and demanding situations. I know how to prioritize my time well and would ensure that my work was exceptional. I know what it means to be a team player, and I take pride in my ability to work effectively in a group setting.
