TCC College Fair
The TCC College Fair was a success. Kids from all over Tucson gathered and visited with many colleges from all over the country. The college fair was a great opportunity for kids to gather information and visit with different college representatives from all over the country. I myself learned about many colleges and financial aid opportunities that were not known to me before. The major thing that I learned at the college fair was that no matter what race, sex, or class you are you can still excel in your college career. As long as you excel in your high school academic career and you are involved in extracurricular activities nothing can stop you from going to a good college. There are countless scholarship programs out there that are eager to help people from all races and backgrounds. Tips that I give a person who is going to a college fair are the following. Dress accordingly. First Impressions are everything and if you are dressed unapropiatly it could cost you. Be very friendly and polite. Like I said before first impressions are everything so If your meeting someone be sure to have a big smile on your face and a great handshake. Be sure to gather information and take notes about things that stick out to you. Things not to do are the following. Do not dress inappropriately, do not be loud and obnoxious, do not waste your time and goof off with your friends. I am extremely thankful I was given the opportunity to go to the college fair. It educated me about my upcoming college career and its an extremely beneficial event for any person who is interested in going to college.
