  1. I. TEAM AGREEMENT:

  1. A. Introduction/Scope/Objective

(This should be a general statement of the purpose of the team agreement and work plan.)  

B. Mission Statement: _The purpose of our team is to work and function as a cohesive group to complete oustanding work. We will accept the challenges that the course presents and coordinate a response that is insightful, organized, articulate and to the point. To study the assignments and use the material as a foundation for thoughtful consideration and as preparation for future professional conduct.

(This should be a statement of the team's purpose.)

Our vision statement is to come together as a team to strive for success.  As a team we wish to not only grow as individuals, but come together as a team.  We want to use the material provided in this course to ensure as a team we can be the best and our community better than we found it.

(This should be an inspirational statement that captures the team's aspirations.)

  1. D. Shared Values: (e.g., honesty, mutual respect, etc.) (Please offer rationale and a working definition for each team value.)

  1. Honesty- Be honest with the other team members about any assignments and due dates.

  1. Respect- Respect the ideas and comments of other team members.
  2. Communication is key to success. Constant communication should be a priority with team members.
  3. Treat each other with respect, communicate and respond quickly to one another and help each other out.
  4.      Leadership – provide the frame work for fostering an exceptional work environment and set the example in all matters.
  5.     We all put the teams needs above our own and we come together to make something amazing.
  1. E. Desirable team behaviors and consequences for non-compliance: (e.g., punctuality, effective "listening," no harmful "group think," systematic documentation of important team communications and decisions, etc.) (Please explain what you mean by each desired behavior and why you believe it to be important for effective team work.)

  1. Time Management- Having the ability to prioritize.
  2. Constructive criticism- We are all here to learn and work together as a team. Don’t be afraid to critique a team members work and respectfully provide feedback
  3. Communication- Always communicating with each other and updating one another of any decisions or conflicts.
  4. Team Work- Throughout this project it will be vital to work together to ensure we meet all deadlines and help one another out.
  1. F. Team conflict management plan (Explain what you will do when conflicts arise, as they inevitably do, especially during the storming stage. Include the circumstances that would lead you to ask for intervention by the Faculty Assistant, as the first line of support for any issues or concerns that may surface or interfere with positive team dynamics, and the method to be employed should this be necessary.  You may find it helpful to designate a “spokesperson” for the team, to act as the single point of contact with the Faculty Assistant.)

        

        As a team, conflicts should be handled within the team. If a conflict arise and a team member is unable to complete an assignment, that member should notify the other team members as soon as possible. The team should carry on the responsibility of that team member in order to meet required deadlines.

        Our team email and group discussions should be our main points of communicating with one another over throughout this project.  As a team we should all agree if anyone has a sudden emergency or is having trouble meeting any deadlines than everyone needs to know.  All of our team member's phone numbers will be listed, if we need to get in touch with one another.

  1. G. Statement of team decision protocol

Individual members will post all individual contributions to the team project in the team study group conference or collaborative documents. You may find it helpful however to use email to ensure timeliness in the review of team mates input to the assignments.  However, you should ensure that you implement a decision protocol to ensure you submit assignments that have been reviewed by all team members.

  2.  (Explain the purpose of the contingency plan, under what circumstances the primary and secondary plans will be implemented and what will the plan address. You should ensure that the contingency plan provides notification process

        

  1. I. Team self-assessment approach and methodology

  1. (We recommend an approach that requires both team and member self-assessment at two points in the seminar, one after your team conference activity has been completed and one at the end of the seminar.  With respect to methodology, we suggest a simple narrative assessment by each team member with a summative narrative by the team. Teams are free to develop and use a different approach and methodology should they find it more appropriate.)
