Tech affects
Technology is like an insane roller coaster that keeps getting better as you ride it more and more. With technology in today’s era social interaction is more important than ever before. people use technology for everything including, relationships. In past years phones and computers were not as popular as they are today Because, they just were not as good as they are today. With all the advances in technology today, pretty much everyone has a smart phone or computer. But there are always going to be some reason someone is unhappy with their products because you cannot please everyone. Technology has affected social interaction in both a positive and negative way.
Therefore, gaming consoles have seriously impacted social Interaction in a negative way. 75% of the kids who are addicted to video games speak less with their parents and siblings because, they are playing intense and graphic video games. The people who develop these games try to make them extremely fun and addicting so more people will play the game but, more importantly buy their game. So, it just draws kid’s attention straight to whatever games appeal to them. One solution to the obsessive time spent on a console is to limit the time the player can play. So that way they are more likely to communicate with whoever is trying to communicate with them. There are also some positives when it comes to social interaction on game consoles. Some of the consoles have integrated a feature called party chat which allows the user to communicate to other players or users. Ultimately building a friendship through playing games together. Which could even lead to a real-life friendship.
On the other hand, having a relationship with someone has become so dependent on technology its incredible. Social media is playing a gigantic part in how anyone approaches and manages a relationship. Apps like Snapchat and Instagram have taken over in that aspect. They’ve just made communicating, posting, and telling anyone what is going on in someone’s life as simple as a click of a button. Social media has accelerated relationships because, now someone can talk and text anyone at any time if they have a phone. Everyone on earth used to have to wait until they got home to call and talk to people. But now people can share pictures and videos extremely easy, which has led to mass amounts of people making accounts on any of these thriving apps. Technology has advanced to the point where a random person can pull out their phone in the middle of anywhere that has signal and, have a face to face conversation with whoever they are calling. The new World is living on their little handheld devices that everyone is constantly looking at for answers to everything.
