During my life time their have been many shows that have influenced me greatly. If you look at the cartoons from Teenage mutant ninja turtles to power rangers and the ESPN network, they have all impacted me in some way or another. These show's shaped who I am today in some way.

When I was a kid the first show that really stuck in my head was the ninja turtles, my favorite turtle was Raphael the red turtle. He was my favorite because he was like the rebel of the group. He had a type charisma that stuck with me. This cartoon was on all the time on a variety of networks from what I can remember. Whether watching it on Saturday mornings or afternoons after school this show was always their. The turtles composed of Leonardo, Donotello, Michelangelo and Raphael were led by master Splinter who was a mutated rat.

They would always fight against the evil Shredder as he would present challenges to them. The turtles would always come out on top. I personally enjoyed this because I liked a winner and the turtles were my winner during this time. Being a winner was important to me, I always wanted to win in my games when I was younger. Many of our coaches insisted that winning is the only way. Now, that I look back on it all those coaches seemed crazy. I can remember when this show became an issue in my family that with all of the fighting that I had watched I began to pick on my little brother and even try to imitate some of these ninja turtles moves. This brought much anger to the face of my mom because I was older and bigger than my little brother.

A few years after the cartoon the ninja turtles came out with their first movie. I was pumped about his movie I wanted it more than anything else but my mom would not buy it for me due to the violent content in the film. She thought that I would try to imitate it on my brother. I gave my mom hell for weeks until she gave in and got me the movie. I was filled with excitement, so I rushed to watch it and of course half way through the movie my brother and I were fighting. I believe but am not certain that on that day we broke a glass table in the living room. The movie went away for a few years until we were old enough and mature enough to watch it. I thought the movie was great because it had a lot of action and my favorite action stars were in it so what's not to like. This was just the first of a few movies to come.

The movie was totally different because it was not animated
