Growing up as an adult in the United States of America can be pretty amazing if you're on the right side of things. Many adults grow up being able to go to college and get a good job. They are able to raise a family with very few worries of danger around them. Although some people aren't so lucky to have that life. They start off with a rough childhood. With maybe parents splitting up and having two different families or even being separated from a sibling of theirs. They get involved with the wrong people and end up with maybe dropping out of high school or not being able to go to college. With this life they might only be able to get a job at Mcdonalds and live in a bad neighborhood. Unfortunately many people are without homes and jobs these days and many of them are veterans who dedicated their life to fighting for their country.
From my personal family experience I know that its hard to find a job these days. My moms side of the family lived in Kenosha, WI, when my step- dad retired from the navy. He searched all over the region we lived in for a job, but there just wasn't any jobs for the field he worked in. This past year we had to move to a town about 40 miles south of Indianapolis,IN for him to be able to get a job. My mom also has to drive about 50 miles just to get to work everyday. My dad had been out of work for about two years, ever since the time we moved to Texas from Las Vegas, NV. He was finally able to get a job about a month ago on the south side of Austin.
Many students here at Rouse have a good life. They are able to get the newest technology when it comes out or even able to get new clothes every so weeks and they don't even have to work for it. Although some of us aren't as lucky. We might have out dated technology and clothes that aren't the newest or "trendy", but thats because we actually have to work for the things we want in life
I'm working alone and doing the the 20's.
