The Calming of the Sea
I will be the first to admit that I do not always trust in the Lord. When a problem comes along, sometimes I panic, not knowing if God will always be there. The truth is that God does care for us, he wants the best for us, and will never let us down. We also sometimes question Gods love for us. For example, I could bring up 9/11 and how all those innocent lives were taken. Some say it was Gods fault and question why he would ever let such a terrible thing happen. I personally do not have an answer to this question, but I do think God will bring some sort of good out of this. We have seen some good come from this tragedy. After 9/11 our country came together. We showed love for one another and raised millions of dollars for the families of the victims. In times of trouble we need to trust in God.

Jesus answered by saying to them why they were so scared and questioned there faith. After that Jesus got up stopped the winds and soon after the sea was calm. This kind of shocked the disciples and they realized that he is the true Messiah.
This story can defiantly be told in a different context today. We Americans we enjoy life and every thing was normal when hurricane Katrina hit Americas gulf coast. It was one of the biggest hurricanes of all time. Its biggest damage took place in Louisiana and Mississippi. Almost the entire city of New Orleans was knocked out, damaging the cities and other parishes (counties) around it. This left thousands of people homeless and stuck in their damaged homes.
This made many people panic and wonder where Gods love was. For the people stuck we sent people on boats and helicopters to save these people. The unfortunate people were either shipped across the country
