The Candlestick Baby
Christina was a twenty-seven year old lady who was nine months pregnant. She was married to twenty-nine year old man, by the name of Jason. They had no kids yet, and had been married for three years. Both of them also loved sports, so they loved going places like baseball and especially football games. They also lived in San Francisco for five years.
One Monday, Jason thought it would be nice to pick Christina up from work and bring her to a football game at the Candlestick Park. The San Francisco 49ers were playing the Oakland Raiders. It was the "battle of the bay," and he had front row tickets. He knew that Christina would love to go, and knew that she would go. He couldn't wait to go pick her up.
Finally he had gotten off of work, and raced over to go pick her up. He told her to close her eyes until they got there, and she did. When they got to there she was so excited, that they ran into the stadium. They got to their seat, and sat down to watch the game.
The game had started, and the first kick was off. Christina and Jason were having a great time at the game. They loved being at the game. They cheered and laughed the whole time. It was the best day of both of their lives, just because they were there together.
Finally it had gotten to half-time. The score was thirteen to seven, and the 49ers were winning. Since they had ran into the stadium so fast, they didn't have time to get drinks, so they were going to go get some while they still had time. Right as they got up, Christine went into labor.
Since Jason froze, and didn't know what to do, a fellow fan called the ambulance. By the time they got there, it was too late to bring her to a hospital. As a last resort, they had to have it on he field, because there was more room. Since it had only been five minutes into the half-time, they had twenty-five minutes.
Since Christina had already been pregnant for nine months, the EMT knew it wouldn't take long. First five minutes went by, then ten, then finally fifteen. The EMT was nervous because they didn't want to have to bring her to the ambulance so the football game could be played. When twenty minutes came around, they were almost done, but they only had five minutes left.
Finally at twenty-five minutes, the baby was finally born, and cleaned up, right in time for the second half to be played.
