First I must start by defining the key terms. Single market according to the oxford student dictionary is an association of country trading without restrictions or tariffs. An economy according to the oxford student dictionary is a state of a country or region in terms of the production and consumption of goods and services. Undermined according to the oxford student dictionary is to erode the base or foundation. For example (a rock formation) the flow of water had undermined pillars supporting the roof.

Insularity according to the oxford student dictionary is the ignorance or lack of interest in cultures, ideas, or peoples outside one's own experience. An example would be the British insularity. Parochialism according to the oxford student dictionary is being provincial, being narrow in scope, or considering only small sections of an issue

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is an organisation of 15 Caribbean nations and dependencies. CARICOM's main purposes are to promote economic integration and cooperation among its members, to ensure that the benefits of integration are equitably shared, and to coordinate foreign policy.[1] Its major activities involve coordinating economic policies and development planning; devising and instituting special projects for the less-developed countries within its jurisdiction; operating as a regional single market for many of its members (CARICOM Single Market); and handling regional trade disputes. The secretariat headquarters is based in Georgetown, Guyana.
