The Catholic Church, like must of the church in the United States, based their beliefs and practices from the Jewish faith. They follow the Holy Bible, which has the history of their creator, God. One of the main differences between the Catholic's and the Jew's is there belief in Christ being the Son of God. Although they both study must of the same scriptures. The Bible consists of two parts, one being the Old Testament and the other being the New Testament. The New Testament has the history of, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The churches were eventually having to face to break up. The differences between them were so strong that the Christian finally broke away from the Jews (Kung 13).

Another reason that caused the Christians to divide from the Jews is their acts in persecution. The Roman Empire wanted the Christians to honor the Gods of the State or death will come upon them (Dolan 220). The strength in the Christian faith had forced them to leave.

Much like many other religions, Catholics believe in one God. This God is their creator of all life. God is known to be a spiritual being, so one would never find an object in a form of God. Thus, in order to believe in God on must have faith. From the beginning of time, God worked day and night and created everything on earth. In six days, God created all animals, plants, and also gave the earth day and night. On the seventh God rested and considered this day to be a day of rest (Genesis 2:2).

Once he was through, he saw the earth needed man. He then created man from the every dirt he created. God noticed that man was lonely and created a companion for him. He named his companion woman, because she was create from man. God named his children Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were the first couple to ever walk on earth. They walk on this earth naked with no shame, as this is the form they were born. God had given them everything of earth with the exception of a tree in the garden of evil.
