Chinese Cinderella
This is a story about a little un-cared about little girl who had become to being cared about. She had gone by the name Wu Mei, she had a big family that she lived with but there was one person that wasn't there her real mom. Every day all she looked forward to do was to go to school and be with the people that actually cared about her there. After a tragic event that took place, her grandmother had died she had to move in with her father and stepmother. There she went to school and was very loved but there was at least two people that she loved and knew that they loved her back, Aunt Baba and Ye Ye her grand father.
Everyday she had looked forward to doing one thing, getting to go to school. The first day that she went to school she had to walk home because she had waited and waited after school for someone to come and pick her up and nobody did; so she finally started to walk home. Well on her way home she had got lost and had a hard time trying to find out what to do. She would come home and then she would do her homework, so she would always get honors and be the lead of the class. She finally started talking to this one girl, which she had become a good friend with and her name was Wu Chun-mei. Well her friend was having a birthday party and Wu Mei wanted to go but she really knew that she shouldn't go because she wasn't allowed to go to friend's houses or for them to come over to her house. Well they ended up not having school on the Friday that her friend wanted to have her birthday party, so Wu Mei went with out telling her step-mom and then had ended up lying to her about why she had got home early.
After that Wu Mei had got sent off and was told that she couldn't ever see her aunt ever again but they promise each other that they would keep in contact. While she was away she had accomplished many of things. Now that she is older she realizes not every bodies perfect and that they don't all have great lives, but in some point in their life they will be cared about greatly appreciated. She had went in to business with one of her brothers that had always told her not to worry that she was going to succeed big in life.
