This song relates to my book because it tells about how two people stand up against others to prove what they believe in. How it refers to two people coincides perfectly with my book because it has two main characters Danny and Reuven. Danny and Reuven stand up against Danny's father to try and convince him that their friendship is harmless. I think that this song would have been perfect to play while Danny and Reuven were walking to Danny's house to confront Danny's father.
Say Anything Else by Cartel-
This song is about not following the ordinary and just being yourself. In my book Danny and Reuven go against what their families wanted them to be and decided to follow their own hopes and ambitions. The line in the song "Don't follow their lead, because you'll never know just how the story ends" was just perfect for my book. I think this would have gone good in the part where Reuvens father was lecturing him about what he should be when he grows up.
Friendship by Tenacious D-
This song relates to my book The Chosen because it talks about how rare friendship is. Friendship is the theme of my book and this song is about friendship. The song tells how about they will be friends until the end no matter what gets in the way, in this case a bear. This relates to my book because Danny and Reuven were friends until the end despite the differences in their families. This song would have played perfectly in the book when Danny apologized to Reuven for hitting him in the eye with the baseball.
Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragon Force-
In this song it talks about how someone would do anything to be with someone. Danny and Reuven would do anything just to be with each other and be friends. Danny even stood up to his father whom is a very high in power Rabbi and had never had the courage to. The song talks about heading straight towards the enemy and how once they make it they are free. In my book Danny facing his father represents heading straight for the enemy and his father approving their friendship is them making it.
