If Dr. King were alive today, he would say that his dream has not come true. The dream of Dr. King has not come true because there is still some racism and discrimination in the world today. Our ancestors fought a long and hard fight for us. Many of us don't take advantage of the things this struggle has made possible.

If Dr. King were alive today, he would say that his dream has not come true because there is still too much violence going on in today's world. Out of all the violence, most of it is black-on-black violence. Our race of people are dying everyday because of violence. Most of the people that are dying because of violence. Most of the people that are dying from violence are people from our teenage group. Most of the killings are gang-related. Teenagers join gangs just to fit in.

If Dr. King were alive today, he would say that his dream has not come true because many kids are dropping out of school and getting themselves locked up or killed. Without an education, you will get nowhere in life. Knowledge equals power. They are dropping out of school because they are unable to do the work. They focus on things that are not as important as school. They are dropping out because or pregnancy; along with other reasons. Many of the dropouts involve themselves in the use of illegal drugs or the sell of drugs.

In conclusion, If Dr. King were alive today, he would say that his dream has not come true because most of the things he wanted to happen have not happened yet. There is still racism and violence especially the black on black crime. Young people and teenagers are still dropping out of schools at alarming rates, and unfortunately many are using or selling drugs. If Dr. King were alive today, he would say that his dream has not come true. While we have made many improvements and many doors have been open for us we must strive even harder to continue to improve our education, our economic state, and relationships on a whole.
