The Eulogy of the life of Troy Maxson
In his lifetime troy Maxson was a very strong hearted man. He believed what he believed in and never went back on his word. Throughout his life troy had quite a few set backs. Troy was a man who wanted to become a professional baseball player. unfortunately he was not successful in this goal.
He was many things: a garbage collector, a truck driver, a friend, a brother,a husband and a father. He was a survivor. He never accept anything handed to him ,He believed in working for what he wanted. It was no easy job, being a garbage collector, and he didn't make lot of money “He goes out. Makes his way. Finds his strength to carry him through the next friday.”. He did the best he could to support his family. “ His sweat and blood”. He even gave everything he had down to the “lint from his pockets”. He believed it was his duty.
Troy had guts. He would always stand up for what he thought was right. He spoke up on what he thought was wrong all of the time. Like the time when he spoke to his boss about only white men being able to drive the garbage truck while the black men had to do the heavy load for equal pay. He had guts but also he had initiative. After that day of telling the boss he came in and said “I'm driving tomorrow. Troy Maxson never stood down from anybody and anything.
His lifetime was all clear skies he had some rainy days also. Sometimes he did wrong. Like the first time when he met Alberta at the bar. He grew so fond of her that he committed adultery and from that Alberta bore a child. That child is Raynell Maxson.
