Every year many companies compete for a spot on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for list. The process to be among this elite group is rigorous and requires the company to go through an extensive application process and several employee audits. The process begins by completing a nomination form. Once the nomination is completed, is the send to the Great Place to work institute for review. After this process is completed, the institute will apply a Trust Index Survey among the employees and a Culture Audit. The results of the Trust Index are 2/3 of the companies recommendation to be part of the list. The elements of the Trust Index include: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. A company must score high in all of these areas in order to be included on the list. One of the companies to make the list in 2012, was Edward Jones.

Edward Jones has been a mainstay of this list for 14 years in a row, with two year in the top two rankings. This is in part to the companies commitment to its employees and clients.
