I study the mouse which is also known by its scientific name as Mus musculus. This organism lives naturally all over the world. It eats some bugs but mainly nuts and berries. They normally don't live long with a life span of 3 to 6 months in normal conditions, but can live up to 2 years in a lab. They are very adaptive to their environments and can live almost any were. But the mice I did the experiment on had recycled paper and cardboard bedding. To prevent allergic reactions to the bedding and to keep the smells to a minimum. Mice have strong learning potential with one of the biggest brains for the body size. So they are easy species to alter there environment for an experiment.

The mice were feed two different foods; one was feed all organic mouse food while the other was given just the cheapest processed food. The organic food was supposed to decrease the maze time and decrease the weight of the mouse. While the processed food was supposed to increase in both of those categories.

To test the impact of the food on the mice I weighed both mice and ran them through a maze regularly. The maze time was supposed to show that organic food increases their learning ability and helps them to do better in the maze, and the processed just the opposite. The weight was supposed to show how healthy the mice were and typically the lighter the mouse the better shape it is in, until you get bellow 16 ounces which is to light. The measurements were taken once or twice a week.

The experiment was to try and suggest that organic food was better for you than the normal foods.
