The most effective decisions in my life

A decision is to take a position or make an opinion or judgment after consideration. People make decisions all the time. It is impossible to count how many decisions you have made in your lifetime. However, the most important decisions can change your life and they can't be forgotten. I can remember those important decisions I have made in my life and my life has been deeply affected by those decisions.

My first decision was to change my job. It happened in the second year after I graduated from college. I was a high school art teacher when I got another offer from a university. It took me a week to decide whether or not to take the offer. It was very difficult because I loved my students and I loved art. However, a job position in a university seemed more attractive than one in high school. Later, I found that I had made the right decision. I worked at the main office of the university as a secretary. It was a very easy job for me and I also got a chance to join in a free training program for faculty where I met my husband. My life has been greatly changed after I came to this country. I have experienced many things that I had never thought I would. I learned how to drive, I went to English school, and I made friends with people from other countries. All these things are new and exciting for me. I feel that my life has been restarted.

The third decision may be the most important one to me. After staying home for almost two years, I became a student in St. Louis Community College. Going back to school after so many years is a real challenge for me. I also knew that it was a chance for me to change my life. The first year in college I took English classes. From basic grammar to reading and writing, I had done my best to improve my English. I made big progress in listening, reading, and writing and I finished ESL classes with a grade of A. Now I am taking major classes in college. Even though I feel they are more difficult
