The movie Night at the Museum is about a man named Larry Daly he is divorced and can't keep a steady job his Ex-wife thinks he is a bad example to their 10 year old son named Nick. One day Larry took his son to the Museum of natural history and bumped into retired night watchman named Cecil he hires Larry because of financial troubles. When Larry starts his first day of work he starts to realize that all the exhibits come to life. The reason why all the exhibits come to life only at night is because of a stone table called Akhmenrah this tablet came to the museum in 1952. If any of the exhibits are outside when the sun comes out they will turn to dust.
On Larry's second time on the job he used what he learned about all the exhibits to better control them. He solved the Neanderthals problem for creating fire by giving them a lighter. Then he gives the Easter head a giant wad of bubble-gum to chew, he also gave Dexter a capuchin monkey a fake set of keys because Dexter likes to take his real ones. Larry then tries to impress Attila with magic tricks but that doesn't work. The next night Larry brings his son nick to show him his job and how all the exhibits come to life at night but none of them come to life so both Larry and nick check the museum and see Cecil, Gus, and Reginald stealing the tablet and other valuable items. Since being trapped in the Egyptian exhibit Larry releases King Akhmenrah from his sarcophagus. Back at the main lobby all the other exhibits are fighting so Larry convinces them to help him retrieve the tablet from Cecil
