The Three Most Important Virtues

Some people assert that an individual needs courage, liability and sincerity as the three most virtues for personal development. Some other people argue that one needs gentleness, sociability and honesty as the three most important virtues to develop one’s personal characteristics. It’s true that all these virtues mentioned play a key role in shaping one’s personality; they either stimulate one’s impetus for career success or equip oneself with attractively charismatic virtue. Nevertheless, in contrast to the speaker’s assertion, I would concede that courage, sociability, and hearken are the three most irreplaceable merits that should be built into one’s soul; because courage lays the foundation to break through convention to be a success; sociability encourage people to enjoy every joy of true life and promote people’s competition; hearken, acting as a sense of solicitous and understanding, can develop a sustainable environment, even encourage more creative ideas.

Firstly, people full of courage are more likely to be successful in one’s personal career development as well as shape of personality. Unlike cowardice, which would be all but inhibit, hampering one’s impetus to come up with any creative ideas, courage will encourage people to challenge the already established convention so as to bring the new world upon us. For example, Gallileo’s courage has brought out the chance to exploration of new world outside of earth. And also unlike rashness, which destroys any contemplation of clear scrutiny, courage provides us the opportunity to focus on what we are interested in. Thus, courage is the foundation of individuals’ break-through either in academic world or social environment.

Furthermore, courage helps to encourage people never yielding in spite of reverses. The persistence built by courage through sorts of suffering will bring people a great piece of achievement. For example, due to Beethoven’s courage to never yield to ardors and inhibits, he has made mellifluous pieces as great; due to sailor’s courage to conquer the roaring waves, people have a precise measures of the ocean; due to courage of people involved in Project Apollo, the flat of earth has reached the surface of moon. Accordingly, courage is the only way to conquer adversities to create hopes so as to reach our final destination and goals.

Secondly, sociability will provide people more chance to share with friends even strangers so as to experience everyday joy with whole heart from campus to society. On campus, students develop any membership in sorts of institutions, like bicycle institute to sharing joy of biking traveling, guitar institute to share the joy of every note, even economy institute to share the moment of joy of being professional. Without the campus culture, one might be a hero in academics but zero in society. In society, colleagues gather to drink a bottle of beer, sharing the wild laugh of jokes; friends gather together to experience the last second of last year; family gather together to hear the first cry of a new born baby. Therefore, it is sociability to bring us to understand what the true life is.

In addition, sociability will help people to maximize their competition through sense of cooperation and team work. Sociability in daily lives will help to establish the sense of cooperation in work. For example, colleagues in company will be easier to culture the sense of team work because of the
