Appeasement is bad. Why is it bad? That is what I'll be going over right now, using examples from history in order to explain to you what an evil appeasement is.
In Russia, during the Great War. Czar Nicholas II decides to appease the Reds, Communists, Communards, Socialists, or whatever else you wish to call them. During 1915-1917, with rapidly failing approval of his people, Czar Nicholas decides to stand against the Reds, which is a very bad choice when half of your army is made up of poor Russian peasants. Later, during 1918, the Czar, Czarina, and children all go "missing" suddenly, after the Bolshevik, or Red, Revolution of October.
In Western Europe, during the early part of the 1930s, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain of Great Britain decides to appease Fuhrer Adolf Hitler by allowing him to annex Czechlovakia. Hitler would later describe Chamberlain as "a kindly old man that I decided to give my autograph to." Later in 1938, Einsatzgruppen or "Action Commandos" are sent to Poland in order to provoke a war with the far weaker country. The recording of Hitler's annunciation of war with Poland, translated by Foreign Minister von Ribbentrop, describes to the German people that Poland provoked a war with Germany, amid brief emergency announcements that the French and British cabinets are scheduling emergency meetings within hours of the speech.
In Russia, during the 1920s, Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the then-mostly peaceful Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, dies. Molotov, made leader after Lenin's death, decides to appease an ambitious Iosef Mikhailovich Stalin, who, after a chain of unforeseen events, becomes General Secretary and head of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, as well as virtual dictator of that country. Molotov is placed as the Foreign Minister, a kind move by Stalin, since it is second only to himself. Stalin soon after starts up his "gulags", or Soviet work camps, which, combined with the purges of 1920-1940s, will take an estimated 20 million lives in all.
Appeasement in any and all forms is evil and must be uprooted, abolished, and destroyed. Appeasement is the first step on the path to genocide, disaster, and world war. You must either agree or disagree completely and utterly with someone or group.
