Theodore Roosevelt biography

Theodore Roosevelt was an American politician, author and soldier. He was governor of New York before becoming U.S. vice president at age 42, soon served as the 26th President of the United States from 1901 to 1909.  He was also the first American president who won the Nobel peace price because of the contribution of ending Russian Japanese.

Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was born on October 27, 1858, in New York City, His family owned a successful plate-glass import business. He’s father has made a huge influence to his life, with the encouragement of him, whom he revered, Theodore developed a rigorous physical routine that included weightlifting and boxing. When his father died during his second year at Harvard College, He throw himself in to the heavy physical excise trying to remove pain. After he finished the school in Harvard, he enrolled at Columbia Law School and got married to Alice Hathaway Lee of Massachusetts.

Roosevelt didn't stay long at law school, opting instead to join the New York State Assembly as a representative from New York City—becoming the youngest to serve in that position. Not long after, Roosevelt was speeding through various public service positions, including captain of the National Guard and minority leader of the New York Assembly. However, When he had his first child, his wife dead because of serious illness and after 11 hours, his mom also passed away. The tragic made him to leave the New York city to Dakota Territory, he lived as a cow boy and started his cattle business. He returned to New York restart his political life as the New York City police commissioner. They chosen because his integrity so people believed his is the one to wipe out the corruption in NYPD. fmerican War and won a Medal of Honor, as a war hero, he was elected as governor of New York in 1898.

With the assassination of President McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, became the 26th President od USA at the age of 43, one of the youngest in American history. He brought new excitement and power to the Presidency, and also the strong foreign policy. For his domestic policy, Roosevelt held the ideal that the Government should be the great arbiter of the conflicting economic forces in the Nation. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the Russo-Japanese War, to reach a peace agreement and made a great contribution to maintain the peace of the world.
