The author places main emphasis on the misconception of Native American and its culture in the short story titled Ð'ÐŽÐ'o___Ð'ÐŽÐ'±. He successfully illustrates fallacy of his people by using both anecdotal and other famous individualÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їs work, such as work of Curtis (donÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їt remember the full name) and life of Rogers (name?). A brief synopsis of this short story is that the author reflects on his life and shares his perspective on how Native American, also known as Ð'ÐŽÐ'®IndiansÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї represents a significant value in historical context of North American culture. As the indigenous Ð'ÐŽÐ'®IndiansÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї started to disappear and Ð'ÐŽÐ'®die offÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї, general population have experienced an epiphany and began to romanticize this phenomenon. Hence, people like Curtis (full name?) began their work to document this process by their own methodology, in CurtisÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї case he attempted to preserve and bring awareness to the Ð'ÐŽÐ'®dying IndiansÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї by method of photography. The author has taken the same trek and commenced his own photography journey as well. In his reflection on Native American culture, history, and present day circumstances have posed a daunting question: Contemporary Ð'ÐŽÐ'®IndianÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї are no longer viewed as Ð'ÐŽÐ'®IndianÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї, Native American that resembles and engage traditional activities are only viewed as a authentic Ð'ÐŽÐ'®IndianÐ'ÐŽÐ'Ї. This question of authenticity is further debated with introduction of Rogers (full name?) just how much he can be misconceived. The author has plenty of his own experience to support that Native American culture is experiencing a fallacy from both outside and their own people. The authorÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їs personal journey has given him the exposure to todayÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їs native culture and it s people, but no definitive solution can be found. Still, he does note that there are other promising empirical studies much like his own effort that may provide directions and prevention to large percentage of native population that lives in a poverty and harsh life style.
