Being a parent is something that some people consider or think about it as a miracle. This miracle is the feeling of holding a little child on the arms. Lots of couples are blessed with the joy of having a child, but other couples are not so blessed. Adopting a child is an option for couples who cannot have a child. This couples have to go through many things. On the other hand, there are single people who would like to adopt a child. They have to go through the same things a couple goes through. Many people think that single parents should not adopt a child, even if the single parents have all the required to do it. I think single parents who have all the requirements to adopt a child should do it. Single parents should have the will of raising a child, financial support, and family model.
First, single parents should want to raise a child. Raising a child is not easy, even for couples. A single parent needs to take care of the child, giving the child all the love the child needs, so the child does not feel emptiness on its life. Giving love to the child is more than a kiss or a hug. It is giving all the attention to the child while the child is growing up. It is taking the child to school every morning and picking the child up when school is over. It is sharing moments of joy with the child. Single parents need to show the child that the child is the most value and important human being on their life. Even if the single parent has a schedule to follow, or a party to go, the child needs to be on the first place besides anything. Children, who are waiting to be adopted, may think that a kiss or a hug is everything they can get from the people around them. Also adopted children, who have single parents, only look or ask for little things such as, the feeling of having someone close to them, the feeling of someone touching kindly their face, or the sound of someone's voice saying, "I love you.". Those little signs of love mean a lot for these children
Second, some single parents are prohibited to adopt a child because they cannot offer or give financial support to the child. It is known that money is important in the process of raising a child. Money can be important, but is not a primary on primordial issue for the development of the child. Social workers, agents, and even regular people do no like the idea of a single parent adopting a child if the single parent does not have money. Personally, I think that idea is ridiculous and old fashioned because and an adopted child does not look for money. The child is looking for love. Now, it is true that, to raise a child, parents need money. For that reason, some single parents need to sacrifice some things to double-work and get more money, so the adopted child gets everything needed for a better development. Spoiling the child would not be an answer. Single parents would do anything for their child, but when it comes to money, there is a destination for every single dollar the parent has earned.
Third, single parents should show the child what is good and bad. Some people think that single parents would not show the child a family model because one of the most important things from the family structure is missing. Single parents
