Violence at Hockey rink should be Banned
Don Sanderson's death on hockey rink in July 1st 2009 horrified not only all hockey industry, but also players, funs and others sportsmen. Some people believe that violence at hockey is a part of the game or belongs to the game. They are convinced that all hockey fans will not go to the hockey rink without a show. They also believe that the health problems such as concussions that players receive are not harmful to the organism; they think that helmets can protect players from injuries. It fact, there are a lot of opponents who believe that violence in hockey should be banned and every player should be punished for violation the rule.
Violence has been the part of the hockey since the beginning of the hockey. First of all, it is not only spectacle for the audience, but also a great industry which brings a lot of money. On the other hand, the problem is deeper than it looks like. The opponents should say that it is unacceptable to use player's health to satisfy one's whim. Moreover, people will desire the show more and more frequently. It is the part of people's nature. For example, the history of it starts from the time of Imperial Rome, when public spectacles battles of gladiators, animals or even executions. It was the early medieval era, but now is 21st century, and the rules of the game have to be changed as well as the attitude to the nature of the hockey.
The attitude will be changed only when people will know about the serious injuries, which hockey players receive during the game. Some supporters are convinced that a little concussion it is not a big point; moreover, the helmets can defend the players from serious damages. However, a lot of researchers, neurologists and simply therapists claimed that the concussions are very dangerous and serious injure to the human brain. Moreover, it can have life-long effect, and it can cause dementia in the future. Furthermore, even though the players have the helmets, it doesn't help to prevent concussions. It prevents only from cracking the skull.
To sum up, in spite of people's wish to watch a show, the hockey nature should be changed. In addition, despite the fact that some people think that concussion is not very dangerous, it is the serious threat to the hockey players and their future life. The hockey rink is not a battle field that is why violence should be severely prohibited
