What is the good life?
The good life is being able to live in this world to love one another as Jesus loves us. In order for us to live the good life, we must practice all of Jesus' teachings in our daily life. We must be loving, respectful, helpful, caring, and completely without evil.
We need to have good morals and values in order to live the good life. Our values and morals are what inspires and motivates us to do meaningful things. Being a good person is important for our own well being as well as for the good of others. For us to become moral requires us to feel guilt when we do wrong, and that is something that we obtain when we strive to become more like Jesus.
If we are to become closer to God and live the good life, we must remember his teachings. We have to love one another, we have to forgive others, and we have to let go of revenge. When we don't live the life that Jesus intended for us to, we ruin our relationship with God and with ourselves.
As we mature, our needs change and so does the meaning of good life. Because of new relationships, jobs, and children our values change, and hopefully for the better. At the end of life, intimate relationships and how we deal with others are the things that count. In order for us to live the good life, we must remember one thing that Jesus always preached: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," and "Love your neighbors as yourself."
